Welcome to our monthly glimpse into the world of CEA.
March already! This month we’re highlighting Tash Wolf and Azure Ryder, artist partnerships with Bacardi and Sennheiser and some on-location BTS with Wella and Bras N Things (including Baz Luhrmann’s former residence). While we’re at it, our Head of Events Philippe Lahey chats all things up-and-coming. Last but not least, highlighting Portsea Hotel show with Julia Stone for Colonial Brewing Co (CBCO).
With draping locks across the strings of her guitars, Tash’s aura behind her instruments says it all for this brooding musician and model, she is known for harvesting grooves with sheer bliss that she loses herself in emotionally.
A few years ago Sydney northern beaches bred singer and songwriter Azure Ryder featured in her friend’s Instagram post and it literally changed her life forever, creating her journey from musical naif to star in the making almost instantly.
Winston Surfshirt x Bacardi
After almost a year of the music and events industry taking a step back, February 2021 saw CEA client Winston Surfshirt headline the Bacardi Revive Live event, giving a very intimate group of competition winners a day out with their favourite artists thanks to Bacardi all in light of reviving live music events again in the new year. The campaign saw Winston Surfshirt partner with Bacardi not only at the event but also leading up to it as a collaborative ambassador for the competition across social media.
Eves Karydas x Kita Alexander x Sennheiser
Last month globally respected audio brand Sennheiser partnered with CEA award winning artists Eves Karydas and Kita Alexander for their new CX400BT True wireless earbuds, giving their fans and Sennheiser cult followers the tick of approval from some of the music industry’s elite. Partnering with the brand as avid studio residents and music fans themselves, Eves and Kita gave the essential green light for the product and gave followers the chance to win their own set, via their social media platforms.
Vera Blue x Wella
Last month we got a glimpse into the magical shoot days for our recent partnership between Wella and CEA client, Australian singer and songwriter Vera Blue. Launching the Wella Company in Australia and New Zealand, Vera Blue spent time having her iconic red hair styled by Sydney artistic director Richi Grisillo, celebrating true colour with a true artist on such an incredible campaign.
Montaigne x Bras N Things
Launching in April 2021, our client Montaigne will feature in the gorgeous Mothers’ Day campaign with Bras N Things, celebrating the wisdom of women and highlighting citizens of The Motherland. We got a sneak peak on the shoot and had so much fun leading up to this incredible brand partnership, celebrating women absolutely everywhere.
Portsea Hotel Show
Labour Day weekend welcomed one of Australia’s most celebrated indie-folk artists and CEA clients to the stage at Portsea Hotel – Julia Stone. With the vision of the coast, sunsets and a beer in hand, CEA initiated Julia Stone as the perfect artist to perform for Peninsula enthusiasts, while also curating the support bill including Akosia and Hayden Calnin. Delivering a full service, CEA also designed, managed and provided the production brief to specification, making it an unforgettable day out at the renowned Portsea Hotel for CBCO.
As people start to see the light at the end of the tunnel, vaccines start to roll out, large sporting dates make a comeback and planning starts to take place, it is clear events are certainly on the up and up!
We are excited to be working with our clients to bring you some amazing events across Australia. First up, Froth Town, Perth’s largest craft beer festival is taking the next step and adding a number of great elements to boost its brand, providing something more for the consumer. With four sessions across the three days, 16th to the 18th April, there is some great opportunity to talk to 20,000+ people, with a number of different sector partnerships up for grabs- so make sure you let us know if there is an appetite.
Next on the schedule is The Big Pineapple Festival 2021, presented by Diablo Ginger Beer and located in the fields at the world-famous Big Pineapple tourist attraction Woombye on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. With restrictions easing, historically big numbers and sold out tickets for 2021, this is the perfect occasion for a brand to connect with a younger audience and leverage some last minute EOFY dollars.
The second half of the year sees us working very closely with event owners on some exciting projects that we look forward to sharing with you soon! If you know you have a brand campaign coming up, please share it with us so we can provide the perfect partnership to help you leverage and influence outcomes. We can also link you up with our talent team and find that amazing brand ambassador.
We look forward to chatting more, answering any questions and ensuring your brand is represented in the right way.
